If every time I'm real with you, you react, don't ask me for honesty. As a matter of fact, don't even ask me questions. Every time I'm real with you, you react in a way that's distasteful. That's not going to make me dishonest. I'd rather forget you than to be fake to you. Like if I'm real with you and it hurts your feelings,

are we going to keep focusing on the truth or are we going to focus on your reactions from me expressing it? And even if you have a different truth, instead of trying to fight my truth, why don't we just try to figure out why our truths are different? And that goes back to having those necessary conversations

because if we communicate effectively, how do we even have space for confusion? And sure, my truth could trigger you, but let's talk about why my truth triggered you. Because just because you reacted that way doesn't mean we're done with the conversation. I can literally even hold your hand as we're figuring out why you reacted like that.

There's conversations to be had about what affected you. There's conversations to be had about the relationship that we have. So let's talk. Next thing you know, I'm happy about the relationship. You're hating me on the back end. My truth is gonna hurt you sometimes, cool. Your truth is gonna hurt me sometimes, honestly, cool.

But I'm not gonna react like you. I'm not gonna belittle you. I'm not gonna invalidate you or act like you're not important just because your truth doesn't align with mine. but I am going to be the conscious one in the room that tries to get us on the same truth. Like be for real picture me trying to entertain somebody that has a different truth every time
