I've said it before and I will say it again. If you want to launch a startup in your life, the best thing that you can do is work for a startup first. Just have a look at three of the largest startup companies in the Middle East. Kareem, 800 employees went to launch their own
businesses and collectively they've raised over 1.5 billion dollars. Souk.com, they produced 150 employees that went on to be founders and have raised over 190 million dollars for their startups. And the big one, SDC in Saudi Arabia. 289 former employees went on to launch their own startups and combined they've raised over 2.5 billion dollars. Working in a startup gives you proximity
to three massively important traits for launching your own business. One, gives you proximity to talent. You're more likely to find a co-founder working at a startup than just finding someone on the street. Two, it forces you to be customer focused. You have to get close to the customer if you want to achieve your goals. And lastly, it teaches you everything you need to know about
culture and moving fast. In a startup, there's nowhere to hide. It's not a corporate. You can't just drift along through the day. So for anyone who wants to listen to this advice and wants to join a startup, I'm going to be spotlighting three startups every single week that I think are great places to start if you want to go on and be a founder. That content is going to be dropping soon.
