That's what I call the maybe land. Maybe land feels safe because as long as you don't decide, you can't really fail. You can't really lose anyone and you don't have to feel the discomfort of a clear yes or a no. But

here's the truth. Maybe land is not neutral. It's expensive. Every unfinished decision is an open tab in your brain. You keep checking it, revisiting it, overthinking it. That's why you feel tired, anxious, and stuck even when you haven't done much. In maybe land, time passes, but nothing moves. The relationship doesn't actually improve. where you have been living in maybe land. Name it out loud. Then give yourself a deadline and a direction. Ask yourself, given what I know today, what is my honest yes or my honest no? Not the perfect decision, the honest one. And here's the reframe. A clean no is kinder than a long maybe.

A small imperfect yes builds more confidence than endless overthinking. You don't get clarity and then decide. You decide and that's when you create clarity.
