You're probably giving Claude more permissions than you realize. Before you connect Claude to Google Drive, Gmail, or Notion, do this one thing first. This is part four of my AI safety series. So Claude lets you customize what every connector is allowed to do. And for every connection, you can choose one of three options.

If you choose always allow, that means that Claude will never ask permission. If you choose ask every time, you approve every action before it happens. And if you choose always block, Claude will never perform that action. And here's how I use it. I am happy to let Claude read my Google Drive, but I never let it delete any files.

And I'm happy to let Claude draft emails, but I always approve anything before it gets sent out. And it only takes a minute to set up. And this is one of the first things that I recommend doing before you're connecting AI to any tools. Just go to your connector settings and hit the connector.
