So I had a guy who came near here. He helped marketing agencies get customers, right? And so he was telling me that he was dealing with imposter syndrome. He was like, I just feel kind of weird because my agency wasn't really that good. We kind of like stalked at being an agency and I'm teaching how to run an agency. I was like, yeah, that's pretty

shitty, dude. I agree. You should feel that way. And so I was like, why don't you just tell the truth, which is that you were really good at getting customers for agencies, but you couldn't keep them for shit. I was like, if you told me that, I'd probably be more likely to buy.

Because now I understand it. I'd be like, hey, so I had sucked at running an agency, really good at getting customers. And I was like, well, fuck, I don't really want to keep doing the agency work. If I can just help agency customers who are way better at agency work than I am.

So I'll just show you how I got customers. Why don't you just say that? And he was like, oh, I guess. I was like, do you feel like you're lying there? He's like, no, that's what it was. I was like, great. So people just get the imposter, whether to start to position or

posture themselves as though there's something they're not. It's fundamentally people just don't like people who lie or deceit. And so like you can market your ass off if you just only state the facts and tell the truth.
