Whether it's a compliment or criticism, if those words are coming from someone else, it should not drive you. It should not be your whole direction of life. Because first, compliments, they're good. They're nice. But I personally think even if the compliments sound so nice, it should just be like the happy moment of your day.

Or something just makes you smile when you think about it. It's fine. But it should not be the whole direction of you in your life. I don't think someone else's approval should be the main factor of your self-esteem and self-confidence. And I think it's the same with criticism. If you get a criticism, I think you should be able to evaluate if this criticism is actually valid.

So you should be able to comprehend whether this criticism is a plus for me, if it's an actual advice for me to move on to a better direction, or if it's a pure shit talk. So what I'm trying to say is you should be the only one who can truly discipline and truly compliment yourself.

Because like those self-esteem, those self-confidence, I know it sounds cheesy, but it truly comes from within. So I think you should be truly in charge of yourself and not let others' words get to you.
