When is the right time to start building investor relationships? Yesterday. That's the right time. But you know what? If you didn't do it yesterday, the best day is today. But seriously, I would say that the sooner you can build investor relationships in your career, like if you know you want to start a company someday, today is the day to start building investor relationships. But that doesn't

mean you're pitching. And I want to be really clear that building a relationship, getting to know someone, having some shared experiences, having a sense of who they are, what they like, how they think about the world. That's what building a relationship is. Pulling up a document and walking someone through it, that's pitching. And so you always want to be building a relationship.

You always want to be getting to know people, building your network. And again, the best day to start was yesterday. The best day to start after that is today. So I really encourage you to build your network, get to know investors. And even an investor is early in their career. You don't know what they're going to do next

or where they're going to go. So build relationships up and down the stack and build your network. Who knows? You might enjoy it.
