Here's how to set up Claude in one day. If you're new to Claude, the way that you set it up actually matters more than any skill or prompt that you're going to use. So here are the five things that I would set up first, and most people are skipping one or two of these and then wondering why Claude is actually acting like ChatGPT back from 2022.
First, download the desktop app and work inside of there instead of the browser. The app can actually reach for your files and documents on your computer. And then go into your settings and fill out the instructions section. This is where you tell it who you are and what you do just one time.

Things like push back when I'm wrong, no em dashes, or keep all responses under 150 words. Next, go to the connectors section

When you do this, Claude can actually go work inside of those apps or pull information from them to save you hours of copying and pasting. Then, learn how to switch models. There's a little dropdown
that you can change on every single chat. And you should use the most powerful models for your deepest thinking or your brainstorming and then use the lighter models for more of your busy work. And lastly, create one project. This is how you can keep a whole part of your work or your life in one place.
Everything you drop in there stays in there and Claude will remember all of it. So let's say that you're job hunting, you can make one project for all of your job hunting. Go to the files and just drop in your resume and your cover letter. And then in the project instructions, you can add everything about where you've worked before,
