If you are a smoker, then you also need to be a runner. And when I say that, I mean that. When I say smoking, that's going to be tobacco, cigarettes, weed, marijuana, those. That's what I'm referencing, okay? If you're doing anything else, you don't need to be doing that, period. You don't need to be doing smoking at all, but I'm going to work with you, all right?
Now, here's the thing. When you are smoking, you are inhaling smoke, right? Now, that inhaling of smoke, no matter where the source is from, it is going to be introducing carcinogens into your body. That's besides the point, though. Carcinogens are cancer-causing chemicals. We won't leave that for another day. Now, what you are doing, though, is decreasing your lung capacity. That lung capacity
is so pivotal because that lung function directly relates to your heart function. And once that cardiovascular system gets to depleting and acting silly and when your lungs get to depleting and acting silly it's clipped for you boo like it's clipped and i mean clipped as in you're walking down the street out of breath you going up a flight of stairs not even that many stairs and you out of breath running with the kids with the babies and you can even do that because they giving you a run for your money because you out of breath So you can do your weight training
your Pilates, all of that good stuff. Yeah. But if you're not doing cardiovascular activity that can really push your heart, push your lungs to a limit that's helping build the functionality and helping build their ability and helping build their capacity, then all of that stuff really don't matter, especially because you're constantly doing an activity that affects them negatively.
You get me? So you want to make sure you're incorporating cardio, running preferably, maybe some type of HIIT, maybe even Stairmaster. You want something that gets your heart rate going and also get your breathing rate growing, because that is how you are going to be able to combat the detrimental activity and effect you're having on your lungs and your heart.
