Things hospitals don't tell you about in their delivery packages. Hi, I'm Dr. Sanjana, a pediatrician and a mom-to-be, and here is the list of hidden charges to the hospital delivery packages that a lot of you had asked about. So take a note of these questions. Number one, if my child requires neonatal ICU care,

what is the extra amount per day that we are looking at? Number two, how many routine pediatrician visits to my baby are included in the package? 3. Are all the newborn screening tests and routine newborn investigations included in the package? 4. If I end up requiring a cesarean section, is the surgeon and anesthetist cost included in the package or not?

5. Are the food charges separate? 6. Are the linen charges separate? 7. Do the hospitals have a specific billing hours or is the number of hours counted from the time of my admission only? Number seven, if I do end up staying a day or two extra beyond the conventional two day and three day packages, what is the extra room rent per day that we are looking at?

So note down these questions and hand it over to your hospital to prevent that mini shock when you get the final bill.
