The injuries and tragedies that I see on Trauma Call are not for the faint of heart, but there are lessons to be learned. You know, yesterday I had seen two people in high-speed motorcycle accidents who actually had their helmet on, and despite having minor head injuries and broken bones, they're going to survive and probably lead a normal life. And then overnight,

there's a person who came in in a high-speed motorcycle accident traveling about 70-80 miles an hour who did not have a helmet on. And this person is now in a coma with a very bad brain injury and really has minimal brain function at this point in time. And there's a good chance that

this person won't survive. And so you can see the difference how important it is to wear a helmet. I mean, a helmet absorbs the energy when your head hits the ground instead of imparting that energy to the brain. And so the person without the helmet, that energy went into the brain, caused a massive

a brain injury and this person may even die but will never have a normal life after this. So I don't know I hope people out there are listening especially people who ride motorcycles who wear helmets. I wish you could encourage people who don't wear helmets to wear their helmets because it's so important. It can save your life and prevent a head injury.
