Can AI actually take over my job as a cosmetic doctor? Honestly, parts of cosmetic medicine are already becoming heavily assisted by technology. Take devices like the BBL Heroic. It uses AI-driven features to automatically adjust parameters like pulse timing, cooling, and energy delivery based on treatment settings and skin feedback. That's incredibly advanced compared to older generation devices
where almost everything is manually adjusted. So yes, technology is absolutely changing treatment outcomes. But cosmetic medicine is more than pressing buttons on a machine or following an exact formula. A huge part of the job involves psychology, identity, restraint, ethics, and understanding how someone wants to feel. Sometimes a treatment can look technically perfect and still not feel emotionally right for the patient.
And patients aren't after optimization. Most people still want to feel like themselves. And that's much harder to measure with an algorithm. So, luckily for me, I don't think the future is AI replacing doctors. I think it's AI handling more analysis, while human judgment becomes even more important.
