You hurt me. Not because you left for anything. Not because things changed. You hurt me because I trusted you. I trusted you with parts of me that I don't hand to everybody. I let you see the version of me that was still healing, that was still hoping, that was still trying to believe people meant what they actually said, right?

And somehow the same person that I felt safest with became the person that I had to recover from. Yeah, you hurt me. I kept making excuses for things that shouldn't have needed excuses. Right. I kept telling myself, you know, they having a bad day, a bad week, hard season. But eventually I had to face it.

Some of the damage wasn't accidental. Some of it came from you just choosing yourself while I was choosing us. Yeah, you heard me. You want to know the craziest part? Because I don't even hate you. I hate how long it took me to admit what happened. I hate how many nights that I sat there replaying conversations,

trying to find the exact moment where everything changed Like if I could just understand it then maybe it wouldn hurt so much You hurt me You made me question things that I was very very sure about my worth my judgment my ability to trust You left fingerprints on places inside of me that nobody else can see.

And for a while, I carried that pain around like it was my fault. But I need you to hear me. you hurt me you hurt me bad but guess what I survived it I survived the disappointment I survived the unanswered questions I survived becoming a stranger to someone that I thought would always know me

and if I could survive that I could survive moving forward too so this is where I leave what happened not because it didn't matter or anything not because it didn't hurt but because I deserve a future that isn't chained to a wound from my past but you hurt me but you don't get to keep hurting me
