There are only two types of traders who end up winning in these markets. Everything else is just not as effective long term. The guy on the left is an order flow futures trader. He has his advantage over others by looking at level 2, level 3 in the old data, not just candle six or line chart.

The guy on the right, he identifies mispricing through micro and macro and uses options and derivatives to express the edge. The trader on the left reads real-time market flow coming from CME. He analyzes aggression and exhaustion that trader on the right. He prefers to build a narrative before he takes a trade. He does his research and creates the same market flow, but on the options chain.

The ultimate edge is somewhere in the middle, being discretionary with order flow and taking entries based on it by backing it up, by analyzing big guys' or dealers' exposure on options flow. In my last YouTube video in my bio, I broke down how I combined these two, so you better check this out.
