If Claude writes all of your code, here's five easy ways to make your vibe-coded app's user interface look more professional. Don't worry, all of these are vibe-codable changes. You just needed to know to ask for them. Number one, you're using a stupid font because Claude picked one and you never bothered to change it. So here's a couple of my favorite fonts. These are all free
on Google fonts and you can just download them directly. Number two, your app does not have tooltips. These are what tooltips look like. They just let your users know what buttons do on your app before they actually click them. Number three, start using skeleton loaders. These are the little gray bars that appear before the app's data has fully loaded in, but it gives the user an idea
of what they will be looking at as far as the layout is concerned. Number four, you have an inconsistent hierarchy for your font weights. Usually the more bold fonts designate headings or important priority pieces of information. So if there's ever body text that's the same thickness or even a little thicker as the heading above it or anything like that, it just looks off. There's
no other way to describe it. Number five, you are using some janky custom-made SVGs for the icons in your application that clawed through together. You need to be using an actual icon pack. There are dozens of free ones online, but my two favorite are Lucide, Lucid, I don't know, and Phosphor, so both of these are completely free too.
And if you want to make a better vibe-coded app, make sure you follow me for more.
