I have great news coming for you from Nova Scotia PNP and this is largely for those people whose work permits or postgraduate work permits or work permits otherwise are expiring in 2026. This has been updated on the 14th of July so basically means yesterday and Nova Scotia is saying that they are going to expand their priorities based on which they are selecting

their candidates for different expression of interest and this list let me read this for you Well, the first one is if you are working in tier categories 0 to 4 and the occupations are supporting the key sectors in Nova Scotia, professional and scientific occupations, manufacturing, construction, health and social services, natural resources, agriculture and transportation.

Then the next one is if you have graduated from Nova Scotia designated learning institution and you are working in an occupation, which is tier code 01234 or even 5. Then there is living in a community outside the Halifax regional municipality and working in a tier category 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Again, then the next one is working in a sales and service occupation tier category 0, 1 or 2 in this case.

And of course, earning at least $20 per hour at the time you have submitted your expression of interest. And finally, if you are working in Nova Scotia in any occupation and earning at least $27 per hour at the time of EUI submission, so then you could possibly be considered in this limited expansion of selection priorities.

This largely applies to those candidates who have created their expression of interest as of the 30th of June. So basically, you cannot go into the pool and create your expression of interest now and expect to get this priority selection. So this is applicable for those who have already created before 30th of June.
