I think if you get weird around worldly people, you're not ready to be used by God. And one thing that irks me that I see a lot of Christians do is that when they're in secular places with people who are godless, they get super guarded and super closed off and they don't know
how to interact with people around the world. They almost feel like, oh, if I go near them, I'm going to be harmed. I'm going to be affected by them. It is wise to guard your heart, to be very careful who you let influence your decisions. That's totally biblical. But there's a massive difference between guarding your heart and being so afraid of the world that you can't even sit at
their table. Religious people judge people from a distance, but Jesus engaged with them up close. Fear will say, protect yourself from the world. What Jesus will say was that you carry something that the world actually needs. You can't be a light if you only shine in rooms that are already bright. Light was made specifically for the darkness, and if you can't hold your identity
in a secular place, then your identity isn't secure enough to carry the anointing that God wants to give you.
