Here's the hardest part for you. Most fumblers don't fumble out of malice. You fumble from unhealed survival patterns. You confuse emotional distance for independence. You confuse inconsistency for freedom.
You confuse control for strength. You confuse being desired as being able to sustain emotional intimacy. We all know that you wanted access without responsibility and comfort without accountability and devotion without vulnerability. When someone finally loved you in a healthy, grounded, and intentional way, your nervous system interpreted that stability as pressure. So you stalled.
You delayed. You detached. You withheld reassurance. You stayed confused And you kept one foot out the door huh And you continued to act casual when someone was trying to build something real with you And then they finally got tired on your ass and you said that they were impatient or that they mishandled you. No, they were exhausted.
So maybe some of you were heartbroken because you lost the love of your life and you're heartbroken for the first time because someone exposed the gap between who you think you are in relationships and who you actually are.
