Hey, I realized I didn't have a chance to say anything. Maybe it was me taking my time to process things, but there are some things I'd like to say. Not that it matters because I'm not here to change your mind, but mostly to get it off my chest. So firstly, I'd like to preface by saying that this was not a waste of time

and I don't feel that I wasted my time. Speaking to you over the phone and seeing you were the highlights of my days and looking back, I wouldn't change a thing. And I knew that you had your doubts and reservations about distance, and so did I. But I enjoyed your presence so much that I thought I'd figure it out as we went on.

You're more of a realist than me, and maybe I hoped that you'd see that there was something real here that could have bloomed. And maybe you did, but there are obviously things that you're going through and signs that you said you saw, which I wish that you could have been more open with me about,

because I feel like I did do a good job in creating a safe space where you'd be able to open up and be yourself around me. Maybe me being fully attentive came off as me rushing things or coming off too strong too soon, but I don't regret that because that's just who I am.

I am grateful that we met, and of course it hurts because I didn't get to properly say goodbye, to give you a hug or hold your hand, kiss you on the forehead, and just have one last night in each other's company. But that's not how life works. It's not always a movie, and endings aren't always the happiest.

Sometimes they're just endings, you know, not really exciting. just a few words, someone follows and back into oblivion. It's something that I continue to learn and deal with over time, but I just wanted to let you know that I do care about you and I genuinely will continue to pray for your happiness and your success. I miss you and will miss you.
