When you hear regenerative, it's not exactly like you see in the movies. Regenerative at its core means supporting the body's ability to repair or restore tissue toward a healthier state. But here's where it gets confusing. In medicine, the term has a strict meaning, often involving stem cells or advanced therapies. In aesthetics and skincare, it's used
much more loosely. So the same word can be used to describe everything from growth factors to basic barrier protective skincare. To make sense of it, it helps to separate two ideas. Biostimulation is where we encourage your skin to produce more collagen. Regeneration is a broader concept aiming to restore healthier skin function. There's overlap, but they're not the same thing.
So when you hear the word regenerative, it tells you what a product or treatment is trying to do, not necessarily what it's proven to achieve. It's telling you the intention. So don't get too caught up in the word regenerative, because good treatment is always about choosing something that makes sense for your skin.
