Da da da da da da da da da. When I popped off, then you go gave me just a little... Putting a hair clip at the top of your eyebrow can actually help with migraine symptoms, and here's why. You see, at the very top of the eyebrow ridge, there's an opening called the superorbital foramen,
through which the superorbital nerve is located. Now, the superorbital nerve is a branch of the ophthalmic division of the trigeminal nerve, which is frequently associated with migraine symptoms. Now, by putting a clip on that super orbital nerve, you are giving competing signals to that nerve and flooding the brain with this pressure signal instead of the pain signal from the migraine.
So basically, think of the nerve like a cord, and it has limited capacity to carry a certain type of signal within it. Now, if you flood it with a particular type of sensation, like pressure from the clip, then you are not leaving any room for that nerve to be able to carry pain sensation.
This is a known phenomenon called the gait control theory of pain, otherwise known as afferent inhibition. And this is the same way that we use nerve stimulators to override pain signals in other parts of the body. But migraines are a very well-studied topic in neurology. If you are suffering from migraines, I highly recommend you go speak to a migraine specialist.
Putting an eyebrow clip is not going to fix the underlying problem. You need to seek out the root cause of the migraine.
