to an anxiety-induced shame spiral of broken text to me or not. Gross. I know. And to be fair, this is only my second birthday since the breakup. The first birthday was, um... Horrible. Terrible. Literally the worst night ever. A little unpleasant. But this year feels different because this year I'm not spending it waiting for a text

and this year I'm not spending it alone because I forgot that there were people who loved me before he did and that I had a whole life before I built mine around him and it turns out the people who were there before him are still here after him slowly pulling me back to the person I was before

too and I like them so much better than him so here's to letting go of the people we lost to make room for way better ones to take their place. Let's keep going shall we?
